The following can be removed:
A fully functional, mobile rail and trolley sanding car for all model railway systems has been specially developed for removing oil deposits and dirt on rails, center wires and trolleys. Even the slightest contamination of the rail head can lead to significant operational malfunctions. The cleaning car is powered by traction voltage and can be pulled or pushed by conventional driving vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with tight clutch kinematics, NEM connecting shaft and 4-point power take-off. When the car moves on a powered track (pulled or pushed by a locomotive), the cleaning technology is automatically switched on (activated). If the moving activated cleaning truck stops (e.g. stop signal), the cleaning technology is automatically switched off (deactivated). The cleaning cart can be used on analog and digitally controlled systems. A battery station carried in the grinding cart and charged via track voltage dampens the motor of the cleaning equipment in the event of a power failure on the rail (e.g. due to contamination). This means that the rail grinding car maintains its cleaning effect even on short stretches of track without power. The high-speed, radial-acting cleaning technology rotates above the rail head (center wire or catenary if required) and can be adjusted with a height adjustment screw. The drive unit is stored on one side in the chassis of the car and can thus respond optimally to height differences in the track. The mostly soft polishing materials also lightly wrap around the rail head to clean the extremely critical interior of the profile head and center conductor. To clean the catenary line, the drive block is turned by 180° and adjusted to the catenary using the supplied compression spring. Use a polishing wheel for outdoor wiring. Various materials are available for cleaning tracks and catenary systems. Our track and catenary line grinding car is equipped with a polishing wheel as standard. It should be replaced after approx. 30 - 50 hours of operation (depending on the amount of dirt).
