Road number: 5743, manufactured by Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Works, bearing the name "Huang Jiguang," and painted to be assigned to the Qiqihar Railway Bureau's Angshan Depot. The "Huang Jiguang" locomotive underwent five model changes, altering only the locomotive designation, but its great mission remained constant, embodying the "Huang Jiguang" spirit of "daring to fight and charging ahead."

The locomotive model is equipped with a synchronized smoke generator.

The China Railways JS (Chinese: 建设: Jiàn Shè; literally 'Construction or Development') is a type of 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotive

Between 1957 and 1988, China's national railway purchased 1,916 JS-type coal-fired locomotives.
These four-axle locomotives, manufactured through cooperation between China and the Soviet Union, were used for medium-sized freight trains and heavy shunting operations.
They had a power output of 2,270 horsepower and a top speed of 85 kilometers per hour.
China's railways ceased using these powerful and reliable locomotives in 2022.
