Class 751 is a diesel-electric general purpose locomotive. Between 1966 and 1971, 230 locomotives of the 751 series were manufactured for ČSD at the ČKD plant in Prague. The locomotive reaches a maximum speed of 100 km/h. The six-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 1,500 horsepower. Their field of work ranged from international express trains to passenger trains to heavy freight trains and "collectors" (shunting freight trains). They were also seen in the border stations of the neighboring states. The raised protrusions below the front windows quickly earned her the nickname "Bardot", loosely based on the French actress Brigitte Bardot.
