The LNER A1 4-6-2 locomotive and complementary Pullman coaches included in this set represent how the Flying Scotsman may have looked in the LNER heyday of the 1930s, that being the Flying Scotsman service and not the somewhat famous locomotive named after it. This service would run non-stop between Edinburgh and London, departing at 10:00 in each direction.
